FUN FUN FUN Crafts

Some girlfriend's and I put together a group that gets together once a month to do fun crafts, most of them found on pinterest.com.....Since I don't drink hardly anymore, this is my way of getting away from husband and kids for a couple hours.

We have only met twice so far, here are the projects....

First day was at Darce's house...easy project and looks great up...

TILTED FLOWER POTS:

1st-
  • Need 1- 8 inch clay flower pot
  • 5- 6 inch clay flower pots
  • Paint to whatever color you wanted

2nd...

  • Cut piece of rebar to make long enough to push in the ground a couple feet and then the length to fit all pots.
  • Put 8 inch pot on first...fill with dirt, the start added other pots fill with dirt as you go and as you tilt.
  • It took my and Devin both to get mine right (this is actually a picture of Darce's)

FLOWER POT PEOPLE

The next craft event was at my house...we made Flower Pot People.

 1. Buy the pot....
  • You will need 14- 4 inch clay pots
  • 3-8 inch clay pots
  • Rope

2. Start with the legs and the arms
  • 5 pots on the legs and 4 pots on the arms
  • Tie a knot in the rope...put the pot on with the opening facing down
  • go about an inch - inch and a half up the rope tie another knot, put another pot on the same way til you get to the amount of pots you want for the legs and arms
ARMS

 LEGS

Run the rope from the legs into the bottom of one of the 8 inch pots.....

Run the rope then through another 8 inch pot so that pot is sitting opening to opening on top of the other 8 inch pot.

Continue to run the legs rope up through the top pot ( the head ).....

Also through the "head" pot you need to run the arms ropes....so there will be a total of 4 ropes running through the "head"

Tie the ropes together in the "head" to secure the pot person.

THE FINISHED PRODUCT...

Me and the girls....(well Glennden snuck in in the background...lol)

This is where my little guy lives...I have since gave him some flowers for hair.

THANKS.....Will update on more after the next couple "Craft Days"
